We support domestic abuse victims to help thousands in Norfolk

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The misconception is that domestic abuse is solely linked to violent behaviour that is not the case. Domestic abuse can be any form of physical, sexual, psychological, controlling or financial abuse carried out by a partner, ex-partner, family member, neighbour, landlord or other personal relationship. This includes honour based violence and forced marriage.

Leeway is an independent charity providing support to adults, young people and children who are experiencing domestic abuse in Norfolk and Waveney. They are founding members of WAFE (Women's Aid Federation England) and every year provide specialist support to over 8,000 adults, children and young people.

With all this in mind, Hannah and I thought there'd be no better way to raise money for Leeway than running until our feet hurt more than a night out on Norwich’s notorious Prince of Wales road. Naturally the best way to do this is to run the Brighton marathon on the 15th April 2018, giving us just enough time to quit the Jaffa cakes and get our running gear out of the depths of our cupboards. Any money you could spare would be greatly appreciated and will definitely help motivate us.
