Story
We decided to take on the challenge of a 5K together, and being non-runners knew that this was going to be tough in every imaginable way! Longfield’s Run the Rainbow seemed a great event to start with - our thinking was that it has lots of fun planned along the route (powder paint, bubbles, inflatables…) to distract us from the pain!! We’ve spent our Summer working through the Couch to 5K training programme come rain or shine, and even through the gruelling mini heatwaves! We’ve taken our trainers on holiday and run in some beautiful places and even dragged out the dogs and children for moral support! The big day is on Saturday 24th September and although a little scared, we’re both really fired up to complete it without stopping! We would be hugely grateful for any donations that our friends and family can give to Longfields - please read below to find out more about their amazing work…
