Story
Hannah, Maria and Leilia have signed up to swim the Bantham Swoosh on the 8th of July. The Bantham Swoosh is a six km swim down an estuary in Devon close to where Leilia grew up – but it will be a very different experience from all the splashing around on the beach she did there as a kid!
This is a big undertaking for all of us – while we all love the water and taking a dip, training to swim such a long way in an unfamiliar body of water, wearing a wetsuit and in a race environment, will be a stretch for us all. This is going to be one of the biggest physical challenges each of us has ever faced – so we need your support.
Swimming has had a big impact on all our lives. It has been a big part of what brings us joy, reassurance in difficult times, and has helped us stretch our comfort zones. We would like to ask you to sponsor us as we train for this undertaking so that other people can benefit from swimming just as much as we do. The money we raise will be going towards Level Water, which provides swimming lessons to children with disabilities across the UK. By donating, you are giving these children the opportunity to learn to swim, develop emotional and social confidence and create a lifelong love of the water. Summer 2022 saw some of the children Level Water have taught to swim took part in the Mini Swoosh, swimming the last km of a main event in Devon. This was an incredible experience for them and something they never would've achieved if it wasn't for people like you donating. Completing an outdoor swim is a fabulous culmination of their lessons - which you are helping us to provide.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read; any and all donations are much appreciated.
