Cycle Brothers - London 2 Cambridge 50 Miles · 1 August 2021

Ummah Welfare Trust was founded to challenge the huge poverty and injustice prevalent in the Ummah today. Inspired by the Islamic teachings of empathy and selflessness, the charity strives to support and uplift the impoverished through the beautiful act of charity.

Story

Alam (Jewel) and Monsur are pleased to join Cycle Brothers on this charity ride to Cambridge, raising awareness of the plight of Palestinian children and moreover to collectively raise funds for humanitarian support. Children would benefit from medical, food and water aid, and funds will also go towards supporting their impoverished families. Please support us and the charity by just giving now.

This is also a very personal journey for the Hannan brothers. It was their plan to take their ill father to visit the newly opened Cambridge Eco Mosque in the summer of 2019, but very sadly he became too ill to make the journey before peacefully passing away in September that year. The boys now have an opportunity to visit the same mosque in the name of charity, rightly taking with them the spirit of their beloved father, who had taught them all about selfnessness and benefaction through his giant example.
