What is Alice Carl's Anti-Cancer Foundation?

Alice was a lovely person, outgoing, hardworking and a loving mother and spouse.  In 2000 she was diagnosed with breast cancer, had an operation, radiation treatment and chemo and pronounced "cured".  In 2003 the cancer came back and a few months later, Alice was no more.

Cancer is a terrible disease, and Alice was well aware of that fact.  She became involved in a small Danish biotech company by the name of Meabco A/S that is currently undertaking clinical trials on breast cancer patients.  The medicine the company is testing appears to be working.  All the patients (who are all "Stage 4 patients") have had tumor stand-still or even regression.  In one case the tumor can no longer be detected on a scan.

Alice wanted to support this biotech company which wants to remain outside the clutches of the big pharma companies as long as possible.  Once the Meabco anti-cancer medicine becomes know, this may no longer be possible, but Meabco wants to make its medicine available, not only in developed countries, but also in the developing world where the medicine can be given in an extremely cost effective way, even away from big hospitals, since the medicine can be administered intramuscularly by a nurse.

The sole purpose of the Alice Carl Anti-Cancer Foundation is to support the work of Meabco by investing in the company and in this way making it possible to continue the clinical trials.
