Story

As keen hackers, Alex and I have decided to set ourselves a little challenge this year by riding 70km and raising £70 each by the end of October. We have never tracked our hacks before so we are both intrigued to see how long it will take us to meet or exceed our targets!

Contrary to popular belief, most horse riders would prefer not to hack down a busy A-road, nor race cyclists in the Tour de Kent. However, as farmers close their fields and bridleways to us we are often forced to spend more time on the roads. Many road users do not understand how to pass wide and slow, and there has been many a time we have come scarily close to a collision with a cyclist or vehicle coming too fast round a blind corner!

By fundraising we hope to help the BHS to improve or create new riding routes, meaning more riders can get off the roads and enjoy the beautiful English countryside.
