Hannah’s Journey to Harare Mudeka Foundation · 16 May 2021

Our aim is to provide orphaned children in Zimbabwe with an opportunity for an education. Many of these children are cared for by grandparents or other family members who struggle to find the money for their food, let alone school fees. By doing this we hope to fulfil their aspirations and dreams for the future without the worry of fees and other financial difficulties. It costs as little as 15p and as much as 70p per day to send a child to Primary school and 43p to feed a child for a day. We currently support a number of children attending 5 schools surrounding Harare, Zimbabwe. The children are selected by us on recommendation from their school or by a family member. The numbers of children are always changing and growing as move up to high school or graduate. We currently sponsor around 63 children 6 schools.

Story

I have joined the Mudeka Foundation’s challenge to collectively walk the distance from England to Zimbabwe!

The Mudeka Foundation raises money for orphaned children in Zimbabwe to get an education, which is really important to me as I value my education so much and I would like to give others the same opportunities that I am fortunate enough to have.
