Thankyou for taking the time to look at our JustGiving page and this year we are once again delighted to be raising money in aid of the Children's Society by decorating our small cottage in Hare Street with seasonal Christmas lights.

Our display of seasonal Christmas lights as always will be very different to previous years. This year we have chosen the theme of "Hope"

We would very much like to thank everyone who has sent such wonderful messages of support in recent weeks and we would also like to thank those who have assisted me in the many months of planning our Christmas display of "Hope" in particular our local Rector, Revd James Sawyer for his valued guidance and support, our fabulous local  "Hormeads & Hare Street newsletter team" in particular Chrissy Withers who has done so much to help promote our fundraising efforts and not forgetting the wonderful team at the Children's Society. 

Last year was a great success and thanks to the generosity and kindness of everyone who came to see our display we raised over £2500 and this year we hope to raise even more money for this fabulous charity that does such important work.

As well as making a donation on here, we will also have collection buckets on our front steps as we have done on previous years, and we thankyou in advance for anything you can afford to donate, every penny is truly appreciated.

The Children's Society is a national charity that has been going now for over 140 years, working with young people to counsel and support them through their most serious life challenges. It campaigns tirelessly for the big social changes that will improve the lives of those who need hope most and won't stop until we've built a society where hope is alive in every child.
