We are Scope. We campaign to transform attitudes to disability, tackle injustice and inspire action. We create opportunities and provide information and support that empowers.

Story

We’re fundraising to make change happen for disabled people, now.

Tom & Jack (Harlin Chancers) are entering The Yukon 1000; the worlds longest canoe race.

We’ll be navigating the complete isolation of the Alaskan wilderness, relying on only each other.  This is a race without safety blankets or back-ups; there is no one to follow.

Totally self-supported, we’re paddling 1000 miles from Canada into Alaskan backcountry, finishing in the Arctic Circle.

Whitewater, fallen trees, braided and poorly mapped channels are just some of the challenges we’ll face.

One wrong turn will force us to backtrack up river in the most isolated, Grizzly & Black Bear territory in the world.

2 boys. 1 canoe. 1000 miles. 10 days.

Scope exists to make this country a place where disabled people have the same opportunities as everyone else. Until then, they’ll be here. Scope provide support, information and advice to more than a quarter of a million disabled people and their families every year. They raise awareness of the issues that matter. And with your support, Scope will keep driving change across society until this country is great for everyone
