Hi all!

I have once again stupidly signed up for a ridiculous challenge without thinking through the pain and trauma it will put me through - however to help Creative Youth keep on its incredible work helping thousands of young people every year - it's got to be worth it!

As some of you know last year I cycled 120 miles in one day for this fabulous charity and I stupidly thought 5.25 miles sounded like nothing compared to that feat... turns out water is a resistant little bugger and not having gears is a massive disadvantage when trying to get somewhere...

So I've started some intensive training and there's a long old way to go!  Please donate what you can - every penny helps both Creative Youth and my motivation levels!

I'm currently swimming 100m in an average of 163 seconds so I've worked out my fundraising target at £16.30 for every 100m... all 84.49 of them! (total swim is 8449 metres = 5.25 miles)

The total swim will take me about 6 hours... in cold water in the Lake District!
