Story
As many of you may know, I've wanted to run the London Marathon for years and I'm absolutely over the moon to finally be running the 2023 London Marathon for BRIGHT!
My experience with BRIGHT started nearly 16 years ago when I lost my dad after a long battle with cancer. BRIGHT aims to improve the lives of those affected by Gastro-intestinal and Hepato-pancreato-biliary cancers through the funding of cutting edge equipment, such as the Nanoknife and by supporting research into treatment, like Papillon radiotherapy. Due to the brilliant care and treatment he was offered, I was fortunate to be able to spend precious extra time with him and this is why I have decided to run for BRIGHT.
Given my family's experience and the fact that cancer sadly affects so many of us throughout our lives, I urge you to give as generously as possible. I would like to thank you in advance for any donations to help support this amazing charity.
You can keep track of my training progress via uploads to this page or by following me on Strava (I promise this isn't just a shameless plug for followers)!
