On 7th April, I will be running the London Landmarks Half marathon to raise money and awareness for Crisis.

Everyone should have the right to a safe and stable place to live, however with the cost of living crisis and broken housing system, this is not the case for hundreds of thousands of people living in the UK.

There remains a stigma around homelessness, however it’s a hugely complex issue… An unexpected life event such as a relationship breakdown, redundancy or ill health is all it can take to push people into challenging circumstances.

At the end of last year, I was fortunate enough to work at Crisis for a short time and saw the incredible and supportive work the charity does to help people experiencing homelessness. I’ve been trying to motivate myself to enter my second half marathon, and running for Crisis was all the motivation I needed.
