Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As you all know we are off to Malawi for 6 months of working for the Billy Riordan Memorial Trust. We want to be able to provide something to the clinic that will be of huge benefit to the local people. They have just started to construct a new building which will accommodate an expanded HIV clinic. They currently need funds to complete the building and of course to furnish it and provide the necessary equipment.

So this is definitely something that Joel and I would love to help (along with all of you lovely people!) to assist with.

As many of you know Malawi is one of the poorest but most warm hearted counties that I have ever visited. Sadly the prevalence of HIV means that that far too many people suffer unnecessarily. With over 100,000,000 people suffering with HIV/AIDS in Malawi, and 790,000 children being orphaned just last year, it shows how necessary this HIV clinic is in bringing those awful statistics down.

By assisting in offering donations to help get this clinic up and standing, you will be helping to give these people a chance to be educated, treated and allow them a chance at life.
