Story
Anyone who knows me, knows that walking is by far my least
favourite activity however I am determined to give back and to challenge myself! By taking on this challenge, I will be contributing towards supporting WellChild in their aim to support seriously ill children across the UK. More than 100,000 children and young people
are living across the UK with serious health needs and many spend months even years in hospital simply because there is no support enabling them to leave. This cause is particularly close to my heart, as my older brother has Cerebral Palsy. Upon leaving hospital, my
parents were advised he would never be able to walk or talk, however through a service called the Rainbow Centre he was able to not learn both, but so much more, including being more independent. Through
a nationwide network of children’s nurses, home and garden transformation projects, and family training and support services, WellChild exists to give this growing population of children and young people the best chance to thrive properly supported at home, together with their families. Please help me to raise as much money as possible, to help support their crucial work, no amount is too small, nor is an amount to big!
