Ahoy matey and thank you for visiting The Grog Squad's JustGiving page in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. From 6pm 14/04/18 until 6pm 15/04/18 we will be sailing through 24 hours of gaming with Rare Ltd's Sea of Thieves in order to raise money for Macmillan, after a member of our very own crew won his battle with the big C.
Throughout these 24 hours we will be holding streams via Mixer and Twitch for our multiple crews where anyone donating can win a piratey prize so donate whatever doubloons you can spare. The links for the 24 hour stream are as follows (with pirate names included!)

With Will's permission, we've written a shanty describing his brave battle with the beast that gave him his pirate name of 'Halfsack Bill'.
The Ballad of Halfsack Bill
Grog will flow and tankards will fill,
While we sing the Ballad of Halfsack Bill.
With a yo ho ho every now and then we seek our death in the maw of the kraken.
Bill was a good lad in the navy,
Coin in his pocket and food on his plate,
The waves were calm, the sun did shine,
Bill looked to the ocean to navigate.
When suddenly the water swelled around their fleet,
A great red tentacle burst out of the sea,
Bill and his captain called to be calm,
But his crew they did want to flee.
Grog will flow and tankards will fill,
While we sing the Ballad of Halfsack Bill.
With a yo ho ho every now and then we seek our death in the maw of the kraken.
Another crimson limb did burst from the sea,
The men they scattered, but Bill had a plan
He squeezed himself into the cannon
Shouted “Fire me at it, man!”
The captain looked at him as a feeler wrapped around the ship,
Swords bouncing off the rubber, sinking into blubber, not making a dent.
“You’re a mad man, Bill!” He cried as he lit the fuse and with a boom there Bill went.
Grog will flow and tankards will fill,
While we sing the Ballad of Halfsack Bill.
With a yo ho ho every now and then we seek our death in the maw of the kraken.
Bill flew high before he was grabbed,
Determined to win, he swung his sword
The kraken let out a wail as it was stabbed,
And dragged our Bill below the waves
In the sea he could only see black,
Sword still slashing through the dark ink,
A pain shot through him as he thrust the blade,
Bill’s heart, like the navy ship, did sink.
Grog will flow and tankards will fill,
While we sing the Ballad of Halfsack Bill.
With a yo ho ho every now and then,
we seek our death in the maw of the kraken.
Spurned by a rage that burned deep,
While the beast brought Bill close to his end,
Our hero’s cutlass took one more sweep
Straight into the great giant’s eye
When Bill came too he’d washed ashore,
He looked down and noticed a difference,
One of his boys was done for,
But the kraken was no more.
And that is the Ballad of Halfsack Bill,
Lost a part of him and gained his name,
Battled brave and made his kill,
He joined us pirates and gained his fame.
