BUPA Great North Run 2009 · 20 September 2009 ·

The nation’s leading first aid charity. Every year, more than 400,000 people learn how to save a life through our training programmes. Our volunteers provide first aid in their communities and thanks to them fewer lives will be lost needlessly. Raise money. Help save lives. Be the difference.

Story

Yes, you read it right..... this poor child who used to dread the 1500m coming round in school PE lessons is running a half marathon. Voluntarily!

Please help me through what is sure to be 2 or 3 hours of "why the hell am I doing this to myself?!" by helping me raise a bucketload of dosh for my chosen charity, St John Ambulance in Newark. SJA do huge amounts to support the events that take place in and around the town as well as offering training opportunities in their brand new HQ building (which is still being paid for - hence the fundraising!).

If you're a UK taxpayer please be sure and tick the box for Gift Aid, which helps St John get more money for every pound you donate (without costing you a penny).

Thanks so much for the support xxx
