In October 2012 Amy, a very close friend of mine sadly lost her battle to ovarian cancer. Her wish was for people to help by donating anything they can to beat this awful disease in order that others may survive. Running a marathon is something I’ve always wanted to do and now I finally have the inspiration to do so! Running 26 miles doesn't start to compare to what Amy went through, but this is my way of doing something for her and hopefully find a cure so that others don’t have to suffer.
