Story
In September, we’ll be taking on the challenge of walking 60 miles to raise money for Bliss, the charity that supports babies born premature or sick, and the families who find themselves unexpectedly needing neonatal care.
This cause is incredibly personal to us.
Our beautiful daughter was born at just 30 weeks and 4 days, turning our world upside down in an instant. Instead of taking her home, my husband and I spent the next six weeks in the neonatal unit. Those weeks were filled with fear, uncertainty, hope and tiny milestones that most parents never have to think about. Every gram she gained, every tube that was removed and every step closer to coming home felt like a huge victory.
The neonatal staff gave our daughter the best possible start in life, and they also supported us through one of the most difficult times we’ve ever faced. Bliss works tirelessly to ensure that babies born too soon or too sick receive the care they need, while also providing invaluable support and information to families navigating the challenges of neonatal care.
By walking 60 miles this September, we hope to give something back and help other families who are beginning their own neonatal journey. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help Bliss continue their incredible work supporting babies and their families when they need it most.
If you’re able to support us, we would be so grateful. Your kindness will help make a real difference to families facing one of the toughest experiences imaginable.
Thank you for reading, for your support, and for helping us turn our experience into something positive for others. 🩷
