In the run up to International Women's Day, we are calling for teams of five brave individuals to take up the challenge of cycling at least 500 miles in one week, raising much-needed funds to help Smart Works clients transform their lives.

Story

Harris Lamb has signed up for its first charity activity of 2020 by pledging to cycle 1500 miles in the run up to International Women's Day to support the Smart Works charity. Spin 2020 will see 15 members of the Harris Lamb team take part in the fundraising initiative to support the charity's work.

Some members of the team are not strangers to the saddle whilst some of us have a more fairweather approach to our exertions, and as such, we will be bringing stationary bikes into the office for the challenge. The objective is to have teams of five notch up 500 miles during the challenge period, and we're putting together three teams.

Smart Works has helped over 15,000 women through its award-winning interview clothing and coaching service. After a visit to Smart Works, 64% of women get the job within a month. Spinning for Smart Works means more women across the UK will feel encouraged, connected and empowered.

Thank you for your support.

About the charity

Smart Works exists to help unemployed women with the clothes, coaching and confidence they need to reach their full potential, secure employment and change the trajectory of their lives. Thanks to the deceptively simple power of our service, 69% of the women we see get the job within one month.
