Harry and Georgia's Yorkshire Wolds Trek

Yorkshire Wolds Trek · 26 October 2019
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
As many of you know we are well hooked on the environment. It's sick, literally.
Seriously though, the science is clear. We need to take action now. 2014 was the hottest year on record, then 2015 was, then 2016, . These were all average global temperatures, not just local temperature anomalies in our own county.
The latest summary by UN has unsurprisingly said the last 5 years were the hottest on record and all research points towards that climate change is only going to accelerate. We all must do something.
We are going to walk the length of the 80 mile Yorkshire Wolds, while carrying our 5 month old in the space of a week(October 26th - November 3rd) . We hope this is enough of a challenge to inspire you to donate a bit of cash to save the planet!
Our Charity:
Client Earth was recently voted one of the best and most effective 'green charities'
https://www.clientearth.org/green-leaders-choose-clientearth-effective-uk-environmental-group/
It is a charity that fights to change the law to help protect the environment.
Most recently in the UK they are threatening local councils with legal action unless they present serious climate change action plans.
This is not all however and a quick browse of their website shows they are fighting on multiple fronts, against plastic pollution, coal power stations, deforestation and more

Scientists the world over are telling us we need to fight for the planet now. Even most politicians and corporations are starting to wake up. Change is hard for individuals though, let alone nations, so lets give them a little push!
