Story
Hello, I am Harry, thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am doing this run to try and raise awareness for a great charity. This charity and what they stand for have a close place in my heart as I have personally used this helpline before and strongly encourage others to do it. Throughout my life and mainly during the first lockdown a lot of mental health issues has arisen for me. Through this helpline, I have since gained the confidence to speak about these problems and realised that it's okay to have these doubts, worries and stresses. It feels like a weight lifted off my shoulder to be able to speak about them freely. I would also for anyone who doesn't feel confident to speak to someone online to come and speak to me as I know how tough it can be to accept these feelings but once you let it out it becomes easier, trust me.
Why did I choose running? I chose running as I find it is a great way to be able to clear your mind and just focus on your breathing and running, that's it. Although it was hard to sometimes find the effort to get up and run I would always find the happiness and stress relief after a run would always make a difference. Some of my greatest feelings and happiness has come through sport and this is why I wanted to do something personally to help this great charity. Hopefully, this run is only just the start as I want to build up to do a charity half marathon next year and eventually a full marathon the year after that.
So please, anything from a penny to a pound and I will be so grateful. Thank you for your time, have a good day!
