Harry is Walking for Water

Walking for Water · 22 October 2017
Did you know almost 60 million people in rural India lack access to safe water to drink or cook with? Did you also know that women and children in rural India often walk up to 6 miles a day in extreme heat just to fetch clean water?
These shocking statistics have spurred the Mustard family into action….
So on Sunday 22nd October Harry will be taking on a 6 mile challenge for Jeevika Trust, an Indian Livelihood charity who help give more children in India access to safe, clean water that we take for granted every day.
Harry will be taking on the challenge over the field behind our house – conveniently the farmers field is exactly 1 mile so he will be walking, scooting and cycling around this field 6 times on the day. Whilst 6 miles isn’t a huge challenge for most adults, Harry only has little legs (he is only 5 years old after all!) so this will be a big challenge for him!
The money raised from this 6 mile challenge will go towards restoring reservoirs and building wells to stop women and children having to walk miles every day in extreme heat to fetch water in rural India.
We would love it if as many of you as possible could get behind him and sponsor him, no amount is too big or too small, and every bit of support will really help Harry to get over that finish line.
We would also love it if any of you with little children would like to take part in this 6 mile challenge and help raise money for people in India who really need it.
We couldn’t be prouder of Harry for taking on this challenge and we will be there every step of the way showering our amazing, kind hearted and delicious boy with support, kisses and cuddles for doing something so wonderful for people less fortunate than himself.
