Medics2Mongolia is a project by M2M Projects (charity number: 1153610). Our mission is to improve access to medical education for: 1) English speaking medical students 2) Mongolian doctors Why? 1) Medical students paying 5-6 years of increased tuition fees pay hundreds to thousands of pounds for medical electives to further their education 2) Mongolian doctors would like to learn English to allow access to English medical resources, conferences, and bursaries. Our solution: We provide free elective hospital placements for English speaking medical students in urban and rural Mongolian hospitals. The medical students learn clinical skills from the Mongolian doctors. The medical students teach the Mongolian doctors basic English which enables them to access English medical resources, conferences and bursaries to help improve Mongolian healthcare. Results: Since 2014 we have placed 105 medical students: 2014 9 students; 2015- 24 students; 2016 30 students ; 2017 - 42 students
