Exeter Fight Night · 24 January 2022

We raise money to fund bursaries to pay secondary school fees (which every child has to pay in Swaziland) and to improve school facilities in areas of unemployment and poverty, by building kitchens, classrooms, toilets etc. Our target each year is £10k for bursaries and £30k for building projects.

Story

In just under a month I will be taking part in Fight Night Exeter. I am currently halfway through training ahead of my fight in front of over 1000 people !!

I would like to dedicate all the training sessions and the night of the 26th March to support the Swaziland Schools Project. This is a charity that is very close to me and my family. My grandpa, Brian Woodrow, was heavily involved with SSP before he passed away over the summer and I would like to continue to support this amazing charity in any way I can.

I was lucky enough to visit Eswatini (new name for Swaziland) in 2019 and witness first hand all the work the charity does; whether it be paying for over 3000 children’s school fees, building new classrooms or supplying and stocking a library at one of the schools. These amazing endeavours improve the lives of all the children by creating  amazing learning environments and a safe place for them to thrive.

Any donation would be hugely appreciated and make such a big difference to these children in Swaziland.
