October 5th, 2016, I was Involved in a collision during a rugby game with an oppositions knee, playing the last 10 minutes and collapsing pitch side.
I spent 4 days at St Georges hospital in an induced coma with a swelling on the brain. After major surgery, followed by 8 days in recovery I was released to go home and after a further 8 weeks of therapy and recovery, I was given the all clear, a full recovery was expected.
An enormous thank you is due to all those Involved: the quick response pitch side, Reeds Weybridge RFC, ambulance crew, medical staff, doctors, consultants & brain surgeons, recovery staff and therapists for their exceptional work, now fully recovered and extremely grateful for all the support given to me and especially to the family in those troubled times!
I am running the London Marathon with members of the family in support of the Brain Research Trust and St Georges Hospital Charity.
Thank you for all and any support! - 26.4miles to go!
Final score Reeds 24-23 Old Guildfordians.
A Charity Ball for 170+ guests held in October raised £23,125!
£10,000 of which was gifted directly to St George’s Hospital.
