Harry does the Marathon

Mont Saint-Michel Marathon · 23 May 2020
I was supposed to be running the Mont Saint Michel Marathon on 23rd May, but due to a serious hip injury and a global pandemic, I will instead be walking it on 12th July!
Why I'm doing the marathon:
I'm running the marathon next year in memory of my two close friends, George Somerset and Bertie Crawford, who are tragically no longer with us after they each took their own lives. All of the money raised will go to Samaritans, who operate a free, anonymous helpline 24/7, to help those most in need. I need your help to reach my target of £1,500, so any donations (big or small!) will be greatly appreciated.
Why Samaritans needs your help:
It's widely known that suicide rates in the UK are increasing year on year, particularly among young people. Awareness of mental health issues is one thing, but actually being there for someone when they most need it is potentially life-saving, and people often find it most difficult to talk to those they are closest to. Samaritans provide a free, anonymous helpline that anyone can call at anytime, giving life-saving support to those most in need. In the next hour, Samaritans will receive 600 calls for help - that's a call every 6 seconds. As well as phone-lines, your money will help Samaritans's 20,000 volunteers to maintain their 201 nationwide walk-in branches, which are open 365 days a year.
For every £1 donated:
George and Bertie were two of the kindest, most talented people I will ever have the pleasure of knowing. With your support, we can help Samaritans UK to reduce the impact of suicide in the UK and Ireland.
Thank you!! :)
