Story
My name is Harry, I am ten years old and I LOVE lifeboats. I am on a mission to visit every RNLI station in the country to help raise funds& awareness for the RNLI. Wish me luck…it could take a very, very long time!!!
I started this mission on my 7th birthday when I was on holiday in Cornwall, I'm not sure my Mum and Dad knew what they were agreeing to at the time!! I have now visited over 150 lifeboat stations around the coast of the UK and Ireland and have met some amazing, brave volunteers and crew members. When I am old enough I want to be a volunteer crew member for RNLI. I have met my initial fundraising target, thanks to so many kind people who have supported my mission but I would love to raise a lot more for the charity that saves lives at sea. Even if you only donate £1 I would be very grateful. The RNLI is funded entirely by charitable donations so every penny counts.
The work of the RNLI is hugely important. The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. Its volunteer lifeboat crews rescue an average of 24 people every day and RNLI lifeguards provide a seasonal lifeguard service on selected beaches. The RNLI is independent from Government and is funded entirely by charitable donations. If you would like to help me reach my target for RNLI please donate and / or share my page with your friends and family.
Thank you to everyone for all of the support so far!
Here's how your donation could help the RNLI:
• £16 will pay for a pair of gloves;
• £25 will pay for a week's training for a lifeboat crew member;
• £42 will pay for a pair of sea boots;
• £53 will pay for a safety line.
All donations of any size are really appreciated.
