CLAPA is a support organisation for all those affected by cleft lip and/or palate. One in 700 children are born with this condition. We provide information, advice, and support through our online events led by staff members and volunteers. Facebook groups, and peer and parent support services.

Story

In August 2016 Sarah and Shaun were blessed with a baby boy who they named Harry. During his first feed it was discovered that he unfortunately had a cleft palate as he was having a wee bit of difficulty drinking.

Thanks to the efforts and good work of Doctor Russell and his team at the NHS Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow, Harry has since had 2 procedures to correct the palate. Throughout this, Sarah and Shaun also had great support from the CLAPA team which through the aims of the charity continues from diagnosis through to adulthood.

After attending a charity event it was clear that there were many children affected by this and that there was a much needed input of funds to keep the charity going.

We aim to do our bit by raising as much cash as possible to contribute to the efforts of CLAPA and by climbing Ben Nevis on April 28th 2018 we hope that you will be behind us to achieve that goal.

Any Donations would be much appreciated!

Many Thanks

Shaun, Pat, Mark, Graham, Darren & Liam
