Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge · 18 July 2020 ·
I'm taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks to support St Luke's Hospice. My mum has been lucky enough to volunteer there and help contribute to the great work that they do there every day. While volunteering there she was able to see the hard and amazing work that all the workers and volunteers there are doing each day and how they are affecting peoples lives.
I am also doing this in honour of my friend Steven's mum, Miriam. Miriam was an amazing person who when I was younger supported me through a very hard time due to my mother falling ill, consistently looking after me and supplying me with delicious tuna pasta bakes. Unfortunately last year Miriam fell ill and had to be admitted into St Luke's. St Luke's were able to provide her with amazing care and helped make a very hard time a bit better.
This is why I have chosen to take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks to help support all the hard work that is done at St Luke's Hospice and hope that everyone there receives the same great care that Miriam did.
