Hasgrove Hikers' Three Peaks Challenge
on 18 April 2007
on 18 April 2007
Four intrepid individuals are seeking to scale new heights by completing the Three Peaks Challenge in 24 hours for Act4 Africa during the weekend of 29th June 2007. We have been tasked with raising £1,000 a piece in order to fund the work that Act4 Africa carries out in tackling the destruction that HIV and AIDS have ravaged.
Act4Africa is a health education charity which delivers HIV and AIDS Education and Behavioural Change Programmes in an effort to arrest the AIDS pandemic which is threatening the whole of the African continent. Act4 Africa is looking to raise £400,000 before World AIDS Day 2008 so as to ensure that they have delivered HIV and AIDS education to 1 million young Africans.
This is why we believe that this is such a worthy project to support. Over the next few months, aside from improving our stamina and fitness so that we can face Ben Nevis,
Scafell Pike and Snowden, we are looking to raise a minimum of £6,000. If we can raise more, all the better!
We are looking for donations and sponsorship from anyone who is prepared to support us in our challenge. Little or small, all contributions will be appreciated and go more than a little way towards abetting the struggle against the most aggressive and indiscriminate killer known to the contemporary world.
If you want to see photos of our exploits or want further information, please visit http://hasgrovehikers.pledgepage.org/
Donating through this site is simple, past and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Act 4 Africa will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Please sponsor us. We really need your support.
Many thanks and wish us luck for the 29th June!
