In just over a month, I will be taking part in my first race: a 2km run. As a six-year old, this is a massive challenge for me as I have never ran this distance.

So why am I taking on this challenge and participating in this race? Over the past year, our lives have been rocked by the global pandemic, Covid-19. During this time, my Masjid has been the focal point of support and well-being, providing support and friendship. We have received opportunities in furthering our learning, time to connect virtually withour classmates, and have a laugh with our teachers/mentors.

In due course, all services provided by the Masjid will resume as normal. I am fundraising to support the Masjid in investing in the future of the students, children and members of the Newham community through education, and being at the forefront in responding to the needs of the local community.
