#PearlPower is a Special Named Fund at CCLG raising funds to support research into all childhood cancers with poor outcomes.

Story

Please help us to fund research into childhood cancers with poor outcomes, so that in the future all children with cancer survive. We're supporting #PearlPower at CCLG because I want to help spare other families the tragedy that Pearl's live with every day.

Last year the Hassocks Gold Run raised over £1500, this year is harder in the COVID world - we can't collect in the streets on the day of the event.  Please donate here, every donation counts, the cost of a cup of coffee and a cake from 200 people will get us to our target.

If you are supporting a particular team please mention the team name in your message.  We'll be recognising our top fundraisers, best fancy dressers, biggest teams and fastest runners. We have some individuals attempting the whole distance on their own and teams of various sizes running and walking in relays.  Keep in touch with what's going on in the Facebook Event page   - https://www.facebook.com/events/1808339942675963/

You can join the event without being a runner or walker, we need lots of supporters!  It's 22 miles of streets, so cheering any gold runners you see on the day, sponsoring and sending messages of support all help. .

The event will be COVID safe with no mass start and finish and no set route.  The challenge is to simply cover every street.  We'll be running alone or in pairs to prevent congestion on the pavements and it's not a race, so participants will slow down and get out of the way of other people who are out and about.
