I'm doing One Big Walk for Mencap as we still have such a long way to go as a society in our attitudes towards people with a learning disability. (the irony is not lost on me that Mencap changing their name would be a big step in this)

Having worked with adults with learning disabilities and/or autism for 15 years now, I’ve seen first hand the change that has occurred. I do however see how much work is still to be done in challenging attitudes and perceptions about learning disabilities.

Throughout the week I hope to be joined by some of the incredible people I work with and raise awareness for Learning Disability Week 2026 along the way!
