This charity is of huge importance to me. The rate of sexual offenses is increasing rapidly and a lot of this is due to a lack of education. The schools consent project is taking measures to change this by sending lawyers into schools to discuss the importance of consent and to normalize discussion about a topic which is seen as taboo. Sexual assault and rape is something which has extreme mental repercussions and has affected way too many people, myself included. By running a half marathon, with family members and loved ones running alongside, I hope to inspire other victims to share their story, and initiate conversations around consent. I would appreciate any donations as I feel this charity is doing amazing work in educating young people about both the legal definition of consent, and the consequences which follow if this is not understood.
