Hawthorn Way of the Roses

Way of the Roses · 2 September 2021
A small group from Hawthorn along with friends are once again taking on the 170 mile cycle ride challenge, The Way of the Roses.
The team will be cycling from Morecambe to Bridlington over three days from 2nd - 4th September to raise money for the groups chosen charity, Chasing the Stigma, a national mental health charity that is committed to normalising mental health. Everybody in the world has mental health and the charity make it easy to find help whenever people need it, through their Hub of Hope support app. Normal people with lived experience of a vast array of mental health concerns, who struggled to find help when needed. That is why they decided to do something about it, when others wouldn’t. The charity also create an environment of understanding through the Ambassador of Hope training and campaign for change in attitudes towards mental health, every day.
As well as cycling The Way of the Roses, we are working in partnership with Chasing the Stigma throughout the year to raise awareness and funds through various initiatives across our portfolio of community pubs.
The route will see the team scale a total of almost 3000m over the three days.
