Rare Find Foundation exists to improve the lives of those living with Tay-Sachs and Sandhoff diseases through support, information, and advocacy, as well as to support research of these conditions to help find a cure.

Story

We are actively raising money for Rare Find Foundation, which is a very important charity to us here at Haybury.

In December 2017 a darling boy called Sebby, was diagnosed with Tay Sachs, and sadly lost his life in March 2019.

Tay Sachs is a life shortening, rare genetic disorder which currently has no cure.

A diagnosis of Tay-Sachs or Sandhoff diseases for a child or loved one will likely be one of the most challenging experiences a family will ever have to go through. Rare Find Foundation was created in the hope that it provides people with information, support and reassurance throughout their journey. The resources they have developed will help families to care for and support their child or loved one, and that they find a level of empowerment and comfort knowing that they are not in this alone.

Though there is currently no cure, it is important to support the family’s affected by the disorder and also support the efforts in finding a cure.

On the 5th of June in support of Rare Find Foundation, 9 people from Haybury will be taking part in a mammoth 50K walking challenge, all in aid of raising money for this amazing and much needed charity.

Please help us raise money and support for this very important cause.
