In July 2025, I have challenged myself to take on the Thames Path Mighty Hike to help raise money for people living with cancer.

Cancer is sadly all around us, I lost both my grandads to cancer and recently my lovely aunt. My mum had a cancer scare a few years ago and last year we were all shook sideways when my dad was diagnosed with cancer. Dad is recovering and just recently got the all clear but cancer no longer feels like something that just happens to other people.

Me and my bestie Sana have decided to take on this challenge of hiking a half marathon to raise money for a cause so important to us. We are looking forward to spending the time getting fit and healthy leading up to the hike and spending some much needed time together.

And we will document all our walks too!

I'd be so grateful if you could help me reach my £250 pledge, which can pay for Macmillan Nurse for one day. This could provide people living with cancer and their families essential medical, practical and emotional support.

There are currently 3 million people living with cancer in the UK today. It's Macmillan's goal to be there for everyone from the moment of diagnosis, but they can't do this without donations from people like you.
