Sahara Desert Trek · 25 October 2015

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

On the 25th October I will be venturing to hotter climates to start a trek over the Sahara Desert.

I start at the gateway of the Sahara called Ouarzazate and start my trek…..I felt that a 6 day trek was not enough without adding a 30 degrees heat ,to it to make it more of a challenge.

The main reason for me doing this and pushing myself to complete the trek on foot, is to make more people aware of the amount of people affected and living with Dementia and Alzheimer’s. The Charity helps to research and also more importantly, care for patients who are dealing with this disease.

Unfortunately I lost my Nan to this disease so I would really; not only like to raise awareness, but help raise money to help the care that is given to all the people having to live with it.

If you can donate any money not only will it push me to succeed but also help a really amazing charity, no donation is too little or too large and ALL donations will go directly to the charity http://www.alzheimers.org.uk/

Thank You for your donation.
