Story

Our Premature Girl Molly was born via Emergency Cesarean section at 27 weeks, weighing 1lb 9oz at Heartlands Hospital on the 14th March 2014. Molly will be reaching her 5th birthday in the next couple months.

Due to pregnancy complications Molly was delivered via a emergency cesarean. We was unable to see her straight away as they had to work on her and rush her to the neonatal unit, but when seeing her for the first time it was emotional, scary and yet happy at the same time. She had all these tubes and wires around her. But it was love at first sight for both me and my Wife. She was so small she could have fit into our hand. We was unable to touch her at first due to how delicate her skin was.

We as a family had a very rocky road, Molly was in Neonatal for nearly 3 and half months battling for her life. We celebrated every milestone that most parents took for granted, such as gaining an ounce, being able to breathe more on her own when the oxygen is turned down, her body being able to handle one more cc of formula.

She has helped to build a strong relationship among family and friends. Everyone praying together for what her doctors said would be a miracle! We are so very grateful for our little daughter!

Molly was transferred to Goodhope Hospital for the remaining couple of weeks before discharge and came home 1 week post her due date, without the amazing doctors, nurses and all the staff at |Heartlands Neonatal unit and Goodhope Hospital she wouldn't be here today.

Due to Molly being premature she does have mild Cerebral palsy, which effects her right hip slightly and feeding issues. Molly has other health complications and is Gastrostomy fed due to a unsafe swallow. She has had a couple of operations and a very lot of hospital admissions over the last 5 years but every day she is becoming stronger and healthier. So now the times right to start paying back and saying thanks to the amazing Neonatal units for everything you have done and to make my girl as healthy as possible.

I will be raising as much money as possible and i will be skydiving 15,000ft from a helicopter on the 22nd June 2019.

Thank you all for your help and Support.
