Antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) is an autoimmune condition in which there is an increased tendency for the blood to clot. The condition can cause strokes, heart attacks, pulmonary emboli and DVTs. In pregnancy, APS is a leading cause of recurrent miscarriage and stillbirth.

Story

Last year Connor's wife Gemma  had a miscarriage at 21 weeks and had to give birth, after this she took extremely ill and she was hospitalized for 4 weeks as she ended up with blood clots in her brain/lungs and spine. After several tests it was discovered she has APS (Antiphospholipid Syndrome or Hughes Syndrome as it’s also known.

We are hoping to raise awareness and some money to go towards research and hopefully finding a cure.
