Colin & Keith Haylock will take part in the Marathon Des Sables (MDS) and Colin will run the London Marathon in ski boots aid of The Shooting Star Chase Children's hospice. MDS is the toughest foot race on earth (Discovery Channel). MdS is a truelly gruellingmulti-stage marathon (6 over 5 days) through mythical landscape in one of the most inhospitable environments - the Sahara desert. We will be self-sufficient and carry all our food. sleeping bags and medical kit (including venom pump). We will run over 250km (156 miles) through endlessdunes, over rocky jebels and across white-hot salt plains. The sun will be our constent enemy with temperatures regularly reaching 50 centigrade. All money raised will go to the Shooting Star Chase charity, we are self funded. Colin will take part in the hottest London Marathon on record and at the same time go for the Guinness World record running in Ski boots.
