Haylz & Nathan Jump For JK

Team: Remembering Jill Ellam
On Friday 20th January 2017 I lost my Auntie Jill (JK) to a short battle with Cancer. She was diagnosed only in the first week of december and rapidly her health worsened after contracting Pnemonia. It was then found that the Cancer had spread from her stomach to her lungs and she has a matter of weeks. She fought long and hard until her little body could not anymore. We lost a beautiful, Vibrant, Happy individual with the biggest smile i have ever known. She will be missed greatly.
Her aim for her final days were to spend them in Compton Hopsice where she could enjoy freedom and comfort. See Daisy the dog and My son Cole could visit her. She was on the waiting list but because there is limited space there was no room available.
During this time Nathan and I got to see first hand the amazing work Compton
Hospice do. People of Wolverhampton think they are a small charitable
Hospice with 18 bedrooms in beautiful listed surroundings. They are so
much more than this. They have an army of 300 staff and 900 volunteers
supporting the entire community of Wolverhampton City, and the
surrounding areas, for its' palliative care needs. Whether it's
providing care at a patients home, respite care at the Hospice day
centre, the full-time Hospice care that my Mum needed, or the support
I'm going to need; Compton is there during life's most difficult
journey.
Me and Nathan are going to Dive in memory of Jill to raise money for Compton Hospice in hope that it will help them expand so people like jill can get there and see their final days in comfort.
