Story
For our 2.6 challenge Hazel and I have taken out one of JS Bach's most beautiful chorals - BWV 260: "Allein' Gott in der Höh' sei Ehr".
Together with 24 wonderful friends we are performing this choral for you from our living rooms.
We are doing this because people affected by blood cancer need our help more than ever before. They are some of the most vulnerable group of people, with Covid-19 posing a huge threat for them. A lot of the people with blood cancer have therefore been asked to shield for 12 weeks. It is charities like Blood Cancer UK that help them with advice and support during this difficult time 7 days a week.
Who is Blood Cancer UK?
We're a community dedicated to beating blood cancer. We do this by funding research and supporting those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. Right now, our community is funding 360 researchers and staff across the UK who are searching for the next breakthrough. The day we will beat blood cancer is now in sight and the researchers are determined to finish the job.
