Story

I am taking part in this years London Marathon as part of #TeamKAB. Together we are helping to support the 12,500 people in Kent with a visual impairment. We work to prevent avoidable sight loss, deliver excellent support services & enable people to get involved and live independently. We're doing the hard part of running the marathon, so all you need to do is donate to support us!

As a severely sight impaired person myself I have first hand experience of the amazing support KAB provide.  They gave me the confidence to start using a long cane, assistive technology support to keep me in employment and encouragemwnt to try new things like VI tennis and art through their social activities and more recently running which is why I am taking on this challenge.

I also have the pleasure of serving as Chair of Trustees so I know how essential every donation is to keeping services such as Counselling, Eye Clinic Liaison Officers and KAB's mobile sight centre Iris going and developing to meet the needs of people with sight loss in Kent.
