Kiya Survivors offers education, therapy, support and love to children with special needs living in severe poverty, abused and abandoned children in Peru.

Story

To celebrate 5 years since the date we met, Alan and I have walked the Moonstone Trek in the high Andes of Peru on our way to Machu Picchu.  We hiked 40kms over 4 days and slept in tents - sometimes in the freezing cold at over 13,200 feet above sea level.

While in Peru we visited the Rainbow Centre which is run by UK charity Kiya Survivors.

The Rainbow Centre provides schooling for children in Peru’s Sacred Valley who have special needs or have suffered abuse or  been abandoned because of folklaw about their disabilities.  They need donations to improve their facilities and help even more children and are deeply grateful for the funds our friends in the UK have donated so far.

On behalf of the children of Kiya, thank you very much for your kindness.    Hazel and Alan.
