We are the HCCN nurses, a home based nursing service out of Hinchingbrooke Hospital, that supplements the work of the hospital and makes life easier for patients. We carry out interventions that allow patients to stay in their own home or stay working. We keep patients symptom free, avoiding unplanned hospital admissions and if in hospital we look to get patients out quickly. We support the whole family with the aim of helping patients take back control of their lives.

As a team we have decided to take on a Virtual journey starting at John O Groats to Lands end via Hinchingbrooke hospital. The Journey is 972.5 miles and we plan to do it in 12 weeks by running, swimming, walking & cycling. We will be sending regular updates to our facebook page so please follow us on there;

Every donation counts and here are some of the costs that are involved for the charity;

£20 – Allows a patient to attend our conference 

£50 – Provides a Buddy Band to a patient to encourage rehabilitation through exercise

£100 – Allows 2 sessions of Yoga for up to 20 patients

£200 – Provides a series of child counselling sessions for a child

£1000 – Provides a nurse with portable technology equipment to take into patients homes
