Joining the Cycle a Difference Vietnam Challenge Ride, 499 kilometers in 4 days with some big climbs (+/-11,788m climbing) is a huge challenge. We are not up there with top cyclists so I am training very hard and I am determined to finish.  We can all do things that are greater than ourselves and take us outside our comfort zones. Cycling for newborns is a great cause and I am inspired to help make a difference to newborn care in Vietnam.

Everyday doctors and nurses working in resource poor environments face incredible challenges and nowhere is this more evident
than at the very beginning of life. Globally nearly 3 million babies die every year, the majority in poor countries. Worldwide there is a critical shortage of trained health workers and nurses. More newborns would survive if appropriately trained nurses cared them for. 

I am getting on my bike to support the Newborns Vietnam UK/Vietnam neonatal nurse training programme to help some extraordinary doctors and nurses fulfill their dream to give better care to every newborn.
