HCPT is a charity which takes disabled and disadvantaged children from all walks of like on a holiday pilgrimage every Easter, to Lourdes in France. 

Group 51 is based in Sunbury Middlesex. 

After a Covid-enforced break we returned to Lourdes at Easter 2023.  The young people we took with us had a fantastic time and some of their parents enjoyed a break from their care too.

"I'd like to thank you for taking (our child) on the trip, being so positive about him, reporting on the things you knew I was concerned about and for the care you took of his belongings.   He's talked about lunch and pizza and church and bursting into song...."

We are looking forward to Easter 2024, when we plan to take 6 children or young people with speical needs on a fantastic pilgrimage holiday to Lourdes

  The cost is in the region of £850 per child which needs to be raised by the group (Helpers pay their own fares).  

In addition to the traditional Lourdes activities we go on a day trip to Gavarnie, high in the Pyrenees, where the children and young people can admire the amazing scenery, enjoy the outdoors, have a pony ride and may even get the chance to have a snowball fight.  The day is usually rounded off by a hot chocolate in a local cafe.  Other activities may include a visit to the zoo, a road-train ride around Lourdes,a game of football on the prairie, and sing-songs in cafes.

Any additional funds go towards these cafe visits, trips out and treats while in Lourdes.
