We help people with acquired brain injury to rebuild their lives

Story

The Headway Select XV are a charity rugby side made up of players from various clubs around Cardiff who come together to play games as fund raising events on behalf of Headway Cardiff and South East Wales - helping them support brain injury survivors in our local community (for more information please visit www.headwaycardiff.com)

As well as raising funds for the charity we also want to promote safe play of the game we love, with player welfare being always the priority. The values and benefits that come with rugby as a game and community are fantastic but being a contact sport brain injury and concussion is a very apparent issue. Knocks will happen, it is the nature of the game, but it is how we deal with them which makes the difference - “If in doubt, sit them out”.

We would be extremely grateful if you would be willing to help support our cause and donate towards a charity who do incredible work for people in our local community, who’s lives have been torn apart by brain injury - a cause which is very close to our hearts.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and we hope to see you at our next fixture,

The Headway Select XV
