Headway Wirral Dragon Boat Festival 2016 · 2 July 2016

We provide support services, information to people with an acquired brain injury, their relatives and carers. We help brain injured people regain some quality of life through a wide range of services including carer support, social integration and rehabilitation programmes.

Story

The Dragon Boat Festival is back for its 5th year and will be held on Saturday 2nd July at West Kirby Marine. All in support of Headway Wirral. Headway Wirral provide support to a person suffering from acquired brain injury, along with their families and carers. They also run support groups 3 days a week throughout the Wirral and a drop in information support at Wirral Neuro at Clatterbridge Hospital fortnightly.

This years Dragon Boat Festival is shaping up to bigger and better than previous years with over 20 teams registered. The teams will race against each other throughout the day culminating in a hotly final and the presentation of the Headway Trophy. This year we also have ''Paddle of Power'' that will be presented to the team raising the most amount of money for this fantastic charity. The teams, family and friends can then carry on the fun at the After Paddle party at West Kirby Sailing club.
